Hi There!
I'm Pasan, a Product (UX/UI) Designer who is passionate about solving problems using design thinking and striving to create bolder, online experiences through a collaborative, iterative process.
At the age of 5, I won my very first art competition which was a memorable experience. As the years flew by, I was deeply passionate about the graphic arts since doodling around Adobe Photoshop during my spare time was fun and was lucky to be enrolled in the York University/Sheridan College Joint Program in Design in Toronto, Canada during my college years.
I took a deep interest in interactive design as I thought that the world of print will soon be dead in the coming years. I have learned that a successful design is truly an iterative process based on user behavior and as to whether the goals of the product have been reached.
After attaining 11 years of progressive experience and learning, I practice user centered design principles when it comes to revenue-enhancing responsive websites, mobile and web applications. I love to get my hands dirty in IA, wire framing, prototyping, and UI design.
Outside of work, I read articles on Smashing Magazine, Sidebar, Pttrns.com, Neilson Norman Group, attending workshops/design related events in the community (DesignX, UX Lightning Talks, Designer Hangout, TechTO), getting involved in sports, catching a flick/TV show on Netflix and exploring different foods/cultures in a variety of countries.
